From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative featuring angels, demons, and malevolent powers increasing in influence within the urban setting.

The Warrior Group Revealed
Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to begin their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table features Teor (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
Hence, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.
What Defines the Combat Party
According to the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the group knows exactly where to head next after a brutal first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then cleared his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure knows the region and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
- Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no other options.
- But, their position as key figures in the influential clan could assist the group enter locations they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, Teor vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This results in them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.
Future Episodes
Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to assemble the Seekers and Schemers groups.
Viewers can anticipate learning which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on next week.
